This major marine infrastructure project proposes to demolish and reconstruct Berth 1 to attain the same orientation and alignment as Berth 2/3 in order to provide additional berth capacity for the service of vessels in excess of 14,000 TEUs. The project also includes deepening the berth to match the depths of the current Savannah Harbor Expansion Program.
