All MTOS services performed by the Authority are subject to federal and/or state laws and regulations to the extent applicable to the Authority’s operations. All users covenant and agree to prohibit the use and consumption of alcoholic beverages, drugs, and other unlawful intoxicants by the user and its agents, contractors, customers, employees, licensees, patrons, subcontractors, suppliers, or visitors while on the Authority’s premises. The Authority’s terminals shall not be used for any illegal purpose, nor in violation of any federal, municipal, or state laws. All users of the Authority’s terminals are required to comply with any and all federal, municipal, and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to:
DOT, EPA, OHSA, and U.S. Coast Guard, and will be directly responsible for any violations.
Animals are generally prohibited on the Authority’s terminals and facilities. (Notes 1 and 2)
Note 1: A pet may accompany a truck driver but it must remain inside the vehicle while on the terminal;
Note 2: A qualified service animal may be permitted on the Authority’s terminals and facilities, under certain circumstances, in accordance with federal and state law. An individual seeking to bring a service animal on terminal must submit a written request to the Authority’s safety department via email ([email protected]) and receive the Authority’s written approval before the service animal will be permitted. The Authority reserves the right to revoke its approval of the service animal if the service animal demonstrates that it poses a safety threat to other terminal users and/or Authority personnel.
