The Georgia Ports Authority is soliciting bids for the construction of a new Garden City Terminal Maintenance and Operations Building and associated site work at the Garden City Terminal.  The entire facility is approximately 286,000 sf, and includes 3 areas; administration offices, operations and maintenance, and a parking garage.  The administration area includes class-A office space, including offices, conference rooms, large meeting spaces, and a dining facility. The operations and maintenance area includes offices, operations center, employee lockers, parts storage, and 14 separate maintenance bays with vehicle lifts and overhead cranes.  The parking garage will accommodate approximately 630 vehicles.  The construction type is mainly structural steel and bar joists.  The exterior veneer materials include precast concrete, brick, and prefinished metal panels.
