Wittek Industries, a leading golf course supply company, has invested $1.5 million in the expansion of its manufacturing operations in Lyons.

This will create more than 50 jobs in Toombs County and let the company grow its custom flags and apparel departments.

“Demand for outdoor recreational sports and activities has increased dramatically this year, and we have continued to see that translate into quality advanced manufacturing jobs for Georgians,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson.

The new facility will focus on sewing, embroidery, silk screening and dye sublimation processes.

“The Authority is excited to share the good news of continued growth in the county’s strong manufacturing base with the new location of Wittek Industries to Lyons,” said Michele Johnson, executive director, Toombs County Development Authority. “The investment, job creation, and visionary leadership will have a positive impact on our community. It has been a pleasure working with the Wittek team thus far. We look forward to growing our relationship and enjoying many more successes together.”
