Staying ahead of the growth curve
Georgia Ports' approach to continuous improvement can be summarized as the “Three Rs" — river, rail and roads. To ensure cargo fluidity beyond our gates, GPA's Mason Mega Rail intermodal terminal doubles Savannah’s rail lift capacity to 1 million containers per year. Georgia Ports works closely with the Georgia Department of Transportation to expedite traffic flow and deliver new roadways giving trucks a direct link to I-95 and I-16, for faster highway access.
WebAccess
The movement of cargo doesn’t happen only between 9 and 5, and neither does your need to track where that cargo is and when it’s going to get to its destination. WebAccess, a real-time, Internet-based information service of the Client Relations Center, allows 24-hour access to vital container information via a Web-browser interface.
Customer Service
The GPA’s Customer Experience Center is unparalleled in the industry. Port users can resolve issues with one phone call.
Interstate Access
To improve safety and expedite truck traffic, Georgia opened the Jimmy DeLoach connector, providing direct truck access between Garden City Terminal and Interstate 95. The connector cuts 11 minutes from the drive time between the port and the interstate. Georgia Ports will soon open the Brampton Road flyover, providing truck drivers direct access to I-516 and I-16 while on route to Atlanta.
