Rail extends GPA's reach

The Port of Savannah’s Garden City Terminal is the South Atlantic region’s busiest intermodal gateway, handling 42 trains per week of import and export cargo. The new Mason Mega Rail delivers the largest intermodal rail facility for a port authority in North America. Other GPA terminals, including Ocean Terminal in Savannah as well as the Brunswick terminals of Mayor’s Point and Colonels Island also provide direct rail service, which offers two Class I railroads to destinations in the Midwest, Gulf states and across the country to the West Coast.
