Savannah, Ga. – Aug. 30, 2017 – The Georgia Ports Authority, maritime organizations and the greater Savannah community are collecting disaster relief supplies for the Port of Houston.
Supplies from the list below will be accepted at GPA’s Administration Building, 2 Main St. Garden City, GA, 31408 on Wednesday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and on Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The supplies will be loaded into two containers and shipped to the Port of Houston by barge over the weekend.
Hurricane relief supplies that will be accepted (new, unopened, and unexpired):
Diapers
Wet wipes
Wrapped cases of bottled water
Non-perishable food items (cans and boxes only)
New blankets
New pillows
Rubber gloves
Contractor grade garbage bags
Quality respirator masks
Large plastic totes
Paper towels
Toilet paper
We are not able to accept anything that is not listed including monetary donations or liquid, besides water.
