RTG-CRANE and Spreader Rotator-Bar Inspection

Successful vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and other services required to inspect and certify the GPA cranes as required at the Georgia Ports Authority, Garden City Terminal (GCT) Garden City, GA, and Ocean Terminal (OT) in Savannah, GA.  The base bid must include the unit price for inspections on a per unit basis.  Separate time, material, and travel rates must be provided and submitted with your quote.

Inspections and certifications of cranes and material handling equipment shall, as a minimum, be in accordance with the OSHA Standards for Marine Terminals CFR 29 Part 1917, OSHA Standard for Longshoring CFR 29 Part 1918 and OSHA Standard for General Industry Standards CFR 29 Part 1910.  The successful vendor is required to furnish company and individual certificates.

In addition to the above requirements, vendor shall perform the following services:

a.       Inspect equipment documentation / records

b.       Maintain equipment inspection date tracking sheet

c.        Visual inspection of all loads carrying ropes and sheaves

d.       Confirm proper operation of load indicating systems

e.       Confirm proper operation of all safety systems

f.         Visual inspection of structure

g.       Visual inspection of all loads carrying pad eyes
