Import boats or yachts must be discharged to the wharf and placed on a mafi trailer or cradle. Any use of mafi trailers, cradles, or lashing will need to be coordinated through the stevedore. Lifting the import boat or yacht from the wharf to the water is at GPA discretion and during daylight hours. Both lifts will be treated as breakbulk lifts. See Rule 5-067.
Import boats and yachts can also be discharged directly to shipside trucks and will be treated as breakbulk lifts. Boats and yachts must be landed directly on an outbound trailer for immediate movement from GPA terminals. See Rule 5-067.
Export boats or yachts must be received via motor carrier only. The motor carrier is required to maintain the export boat or yacht and its trailer. The stevedore makes all arrangements for export boats and yachts and export boats or yachts will be treated as breakbulk lifts. See Rule 5-067.
GPA will assess a cradle disposal charge of $1,158.60 per cradle, if a boat or yacht is delivered to either an inland carrier or to the water and the cradle is not removed from the terminal simultaneous with the delivery out of the boat or yacht. The cradle will be considered as dunnage and will be disposed of promptly.
