EARLY DOCKAGE

Vessels making regularly scheduled calls to the GPA’s facilities may be granted early dockage, subject to each the following conditions:

  1. Berth availability
  2. Approval of the GPA’s Ship Operations Department
  3. Vessel arrives at berth the evening prior and labor is scheduled to start work the following morning by no later than 0800 hours

If early dockage is granted, any other negotiated dockage rates may not apply, particularly if the result is no dockage assessment whatsoever.

IDLE DOCKAGE

Vessels making regularly scheduled calls to the GPA’s facilities may be granted, upon request, idle dockage at one-half of the MTOS dockage rate, subject to the minimum dockage charge, based on berth availability and at the discretion of the GPA’s Ship Operations Department. Examples of when idle dockage may be granted are vessel repair and governmental seizure.

GOVERNMENT VESSELS

U.S. Navy vessels, foreign naval vessels, or other U.S. Government vessels making infrequent visits of short duration for recreation, or open house (Liberty calls), will be provided a berth, at no charge, on a space available basis subject to prior written approval from the GPA’s Ship Operations Department.

The Authority will not assess dockage charges to the ocean carriers for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Christmas Day.
