In any inclement weather, it’s important to be prepared and informed to keep your family, community and business safe. That’s why the Georgia Ports Police Department regularly shares news and alerts to help you stay Weather Ready.

As the Atlantic Hurricane Season kicks off June 1, Georgia Ports wants to make sure you have the tools and information to stay safe and keep your business resilient.

Prepare Before Hurricane Season

The best time to prepare for hurricanes is before hurricane season begins.

Don’t wait until it’s too late—avoid having to rush through potentially life-saving preparations.

Stock up on disaster supplies while the shelves are still full, and don’t forget your insurance checkup. Remember, flood insurance comes with a 30-day waiting period.
