At Georgia Ports, truck drivers are key to keeping cargo moving safely on and off terminal. It has been our privilege during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week to thank drivers for all they do.
From industry-leading turn times to emissions savings through efficiencies, together we are building a resilient supply chain with our trucking community partners.
Georgia Ports Authority personnel met Savannah truck drivers with a smile and a Chick-fil-A biscuit Thursday morning, thanking the drivers for their role in keeping Georgia supply chains humming.
GPA handed out 2,350 chicken biscuits, along with safety gloves and bottles of water at the Port of Savannah. Similar events were held at the Appalachian Regional Port and the Port of Brunswick.
“Our partners in the trucking industry are a critical link between our global vessel services and the domestic supply chain,” said GPA President and CEO Griff Lynch. “At Georgia Ports, every week is trucker appreciation week.”
