Reopening update after Hurricane Helene – Fri, 9/27 1530

Our operations plan is: 

Garden City Terminal, Port of Savannah  

Truck gates

Friday, Sept. 27

  • Gates open 1300 hrs for full/empties/reefers

  • Gates close at 2300 hrs for dry containers/empties only.

    • Dropoff at 2200 hrs

    • Pickup at 2130 hrs

    • Reefer Services gate ends at normal cutoff.    

Saturday, Sept. 28

  • Gates open 0800 – 1700 hrs

Sunday, Sept. 29

  • Gates open 0800 – 1700 hrs

Monday, Sept. 30

  • Gates open 0400 – 1900 hrs
    • Reefer cuts     Pickup at 1630
    • Drop off at 1645
    • Dry and empty cuts
      • Pickup at 17:30
      • Drop off at 18:00

Vessel operations    

Friday, Sept. 27

  • Expect to resume vessel operations 1900 hrs

Ocean Terminal, Port of Savannah

Friday, Sept. 27

  • Gates 1300 – 1700 hrs
  • No weekend gates.

Monday, Sept. 30

  • Gates open 0800-1200 and 1300-1900
  • Reefer cuts
    • Pickup at 1630
    • Drop off at 1645
  • Dry and empty cuts
    • Pickup at 17:30
    • Drop off at 18:00

Port of Brunswick

Colonel’s Island: 

Friday, Sept. 27

  • Expect to resume vessel operations 1900 hrs
  • Truck gates 1 and 2 will remain open.

The Garden City Terminal, Ocean Terminal and the Port of Brunswick gates will open at 1300 hrs today.

All employees should report to work at 1300 unless otherwise directed by their GPA leader.

  • Friday, Sept. 27 — Gates open 0600 hrs for full containers only.

    Empties will only be received for delivery and pickup starting at 1000 hrs  (due to winds)

    Gates close 1800 hrs

  • Saturday, Sept. 28 — Gates open 0800 – 1700 hrs
  • Sunday, Sept. 29 — Gates open 0800 – 1700 hrs

  • Friday, Sept. 27 — Vessel operations resume 1900 hrs
