Georgia Ports Authority personnel met Savannah truck drivers with a smile and a Chick-fil-A biscuit Thursday morning, thanking the drivers for their role in keeping Georgia supply chains humming.<\/p>\n

GPA handed out 2,350 chicken biscuits, along with safety gloves and bottles of water at the Port of Savannah. Similar events were held at the Appalachian Regional Port and the Port of Brunswick.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur partners in the trucking industry are a critical link between our global vessel services and the domestic supply chain,\u201d said GPA President and CEO Griff Lynch. \u201cAt Georgia Ports, every week is trucker appreciation week.\u201d<\/p>\n
