All Users, including but not limited to Ocean Carriers, Stevedoring Firms, Ships’ Agents, Vendors, shall provide a Certificate(s) of Insurance (COI) to the Georgia Ports Authority evidencing their insurance coverages. The COI limits and coverages should meet the terminal insurance requirements found in the MTO Schedule, Rule: 34-080. All COI’s are subject to review by the Georgia Ports Authority Risk Management Team. All users agree that COI’s shall be maintained on file with the Authority and that new COI’s shall be furnished to the Authority Upon and changes in coverage.

COI Policy Endorsement Requirements Tips:

  1. The Authority shall be named as an additional insured with respect to the Commercial General Liability Policy.
  2. The Commercial General Liability and the Workers’ Compensation policies shall be endorsed to include a waiver of subrogation in favor of the Authority.
  3. The insurance shall be endorsed to provide that it is primary with respect to any insurance carried by the Authority.
  4. All polices shall not be canceled, allowed to lapse or allowed to expire until a minimum of thirty (30) days after written notification.
